Scope: statewide

Electronic media and still-photography coverage is allowed in Florida public trial and appellate proceedings under Rule 2.450's equipment and conduct standards, always subject to the presiding judge's control of decorum, distractions, and fair administration.

Evidence excerpt: Subject at all times to the authority of the presiding judge to: (i) control the conduct of proceedings before the court; (ii) ensure decorum and prevent distractions; and (iii) ensure the fair administration of justice in the pending cause, electronic media and still photography coverage of public judicial proceedings in the appellate and trial courts of this state shall be allowed

### Professional career

- Selected as a Circuit Court Judge by Governor Ron DeSantis, filling a new judgeship created by the Florida Legislature in 2025
- He spent approximately 16 years in Franklin County, serving 12 years as Chief Prosecutor, and later returned to his hometown of Gulf County in 2024 to serve as Chief Gulf County Prosecutor
- Judge Jarred H. Patterson combines extensive prosecutorial experience with strong community ties and a solid educational foundation, positioning him to effectively serve the 14th Judicial Circuit in Florida

### Education

- Barry University School of Law in, participating in the law school’s competition Mock Trial Team — J.D. (2005)
- Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of West Florida in 2002, where he also played baseball for four seasons.
