### Professional career

- 2011: held the role of the first judge of the County’s Felony Drug Court
- 1986: Judge, State Court of Georgia
- 1979–1983: Judge, Small Claims Court, LaGrange, GA

### Education

- B.A. in English from LaGrange College in 1976 and a J.D. from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law in 1979.

### Additional information

- received the Ogden Doremus Award (2003) and the Distinguished Services Award from the Council (2011)
- Retired judge of the Troup County State Court in Georgia, best known for pioneering the county’s DUI/Drug Court and Felony Drug Court programs
- She was also the first president of the Council of State Court Judges
