### Professional career

- Judge on the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Virginia, serving since April 30, 2010, and currently acting as Presiding Judge for the Gloucester Circuit Court
- Previous roles: Partner, Dusewicz, Soberick & Shaw (1999–2009) Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney, Hampton, VA (1996–1999) Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney, Hampton, VA (1993–1996)
- Listed as Presiding Judge for the Gloucester Circuit Court and also appears on the judicial roster for New Kent Circuit Court
- His work as a Commonwealth’s Attorney involved prosecuting cases at the state level, and his partnership in a Gloucester County law firm provided extensive civil and commercial litigation experience
