### Professional career

- held the role of the court’s administrative judge — 2016–2018
- Judge of the General Division of the Butler County Common Pleas Court in Ohio, appointed by Governor John R. Kasich in October 2013 to fill a vacancy
- For 15 years, Judge McElfresh was an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney with the Butler County Prosecutor’s Office
