## Biography

### Professional career

- Before joining the bench, she held the role of a law clerk for the Honorable Maurice B. Cohill, Jr. in the Federal District Court and worked as a civil litigation attorney at Thorp, Reed & Armstrong and Babst Calland Clements & Zomnir in Pittsburgh

### Education

- Judge Rangos earned her B.A. in English and Political Science from Dickinson College and her J.D. from the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, where she was a member of the Law Review.

### Additional information

- Judge Rangos also served on the Pennsylvania Commission on Sentencing from 2009 to 2019, including a term as Vice Chair.
- Initially assigned to the Family Division, juvenile section, she was reassigned to the Criminal Division in 2008.
- Joined the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County in 2003 by Governor Edward G. Rendell and subsequently elected to a full 10-year term.
- overseeing case management, felony and misdemeanor trials, and supervising the Allegheny County Grand Juries and the Sex Offenses specialty court.
- She currently serves as the Administrative Judge of the Criminal Division
- She is an active member of the Allegheny County Bar Association, the Allegheny County Bar Foundation, and the Women’s Bar Association, where she held the role of president.
