### Professional career

- Loudermilk, who had been the part-time judge for the circuit, expressed shock at the outcome, citing over 60 years of experience on the bench, and said he would consider running for Superior Court in 2028
- In April 2026, Loudermilk — along with Presiding Judge Warner Kennon and Judge Andy Dodgen — lost re-election in a vote by the seven Superior Court judges of the Chattahoochee Judicial Circuit.
- Joey M. Loudermilk is a former judge of the Chattahoochee Judicial Circuit Juvenile Court in Georgia, appointed in 2014 after a long career in law and public service
