- Judge, Supreme Court of Oklahoma, 2007-present
- Retired justice of the Oklahoma Supreme Court, serving from 2007 until his voluntary retirement in 2019, and later Chief Justice from 2015 to 2016
- Reif spent over 20 years on the Court of Civil Appeals, twice as Vice Chief Judge (1993, 2001) and twice as Chief Judge (1994, 2002)
- He then held the role of Special District Judge for Oklahoma’s 14th Judicial District (1981–1984) before joining the Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals in 1984
- He also taught business law as an adjunct professor at Oral Roberts University
