### Professional career

- Vermont Superior Court judge; appointed by Governor Peter Shumlin on January 4, 2016, to a new judgeship responding to child-protection and opioid-related caseloads
- Founding partner of Hoff Curtis from 1989, with more than 30 years of criminal defense, civil litigation and family-law experience, including capital, fraud and personal-injury cases.
- Law clerk to Judge Frederick B. Lacey in New Jersey, 1980–1981; associate at Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler, 1979–1980
