## Biography

### Professional career

- Before becoming a judge, he served as Assistant Lake County Public Defender, Assistant Law Director and Police Prosecutor for Eastlake, and practiced law at Klammer & Trebets Mentor Municipal Court

### Education

- John F. Trebets earned his B.S. from Cleveland State University (1978) and his J.D. from Cleveland‐Marshall College of Law (1981), graduating Magna Cum Laude.

- He was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1982.
