## Biography

### Professional career

- Joseph N. Minish is the grandson of former U.S. House Representative Joseph G. Minish, who served New Jersey’s 11th congressional district from 1963 to 1985 The younger Minish has been an Assistant U.S. Attorney for nearly 22 years, working in the health care and government fraud unit since 2013
- effective upon taking the judicial oath, Judge Minish is assigned to the Superior Court, Criminal Division, Essex County (Vicinage 5) In addition, as of July 1, 2026, he is officially designated as a Wiretap Judge for Vicinage 5, meaning he is authorized to approve applications for wiretaps and electronic surveillance under the New Jersey Wiretapping and Electronic Surveillance Control Act
- Joseph N. Minish is a New Jersey Superior Court judge assigned to the Criminal Division in Essex County (Vicinage 5) and also designated as a Wiretap Judge for that vicinage
