### Professional career

- Vermont Supreme Court associate justice, 2017–August 23, 2025; appointed by Governor Phil Scott
- Vermont Superior Court judge, 2000–2017, serving in family, criminal and civil divisions in Windham, Windsor and Bennington; helped establish the first DUI treatment court.
- Special assistant U.S. attorney in Vermont and assistant attorney general with the Southern Vermont Drug Task Force, 1994–2000
- Windham County deputy state's attorney, 1988–1994

- Vermont Law School, cum laude — J.D. (1988)
- B.A.S. in Criminal Justice and English and French Literature, Salve Regina College, 1985, cum laude.
