## Biography

### Professional career

- Judge Katelyn Dickey began serving on the Ohio Seventh District Court of Appeals on April 10, 2024, filling the vacancy left by Judge David D’Apolito, who resigned at the end of 2023

### Education

- University of Akron School of Law in and passed the Ohio Bar the same year — J.D. (2011)
- Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania, where she was a scholarship athlete on the women’s basketball team and graduated cum laude — B.S.

### Additional information

- Prior to her appellate appointment, she held the role of a municipal court judge in Columbiana County, a magistrate for the Columbiana County Common Pleas Court, and an assistant prosecutor in Columbiana County
- During her tenure on the municipal court, she implemented technology upgrades, including an electronic check-in kiosk and scheduling displays, funded by a grant from the Ohio Supreme Court
- She has extensive trial court experience, which she brings to her appellate role.
- Judge Dickey is active in her community, participating in the Columbiana and Mahoning County Bar Associations, the Ohio State Bar Association, the Ohio Judicial Conference, the Federalist Society, and local organizations such as the Columbiana County Farm Bureau and Leadership Columbiana County.
