Scope: statewide

Electronic media and still-photography coverage is allowed in Florida public trial and appellate proceedings under Rule 2.450's equipment and conduct standards, always subject to the presiding judge's control of decorum, distractions, and fair administration.

Evidence excerpt: Subject at all times to the authority of the presiding judge to: (i) control the conduct of proceedings before the court; (ii) ensure decorum and prevent distractions; and (iii) ensure the fair administration of justice in the pending cause, electronic media and still photography coverage of public judicial proceedings in the appellate and trial courts of this state shall be allowed

- Katherine Mish, originally from Fort Pierce, Florida, began her legal career as an associate attorney at Cleaveland & Cleaveland in Jacksonville

### Education

- Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Florida State University
- Florida Coastal School of Law — J.D.

- On December 22, 2024, Governor Ron DeSantis appointed Mish to the 19th Judicial Circuit Court, filling a new judgeship created due to population growth and increased caseloads in Indian River, St.
- She was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2014 and is licensed to practice in Florida as well as in the United States District Court for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida.
- Mish has been recognized for her dedication, professionalism, and mentorship throughout her legal career.
- All communications with Judge Mish’s office must comply with judicial conduct rules, including prohibition of ex parte communications.
