### Professional career

- Nonpartisan judge on the Michigan Court of Appeals, serving the 3rd District since January 1, 2023, after a career spanning over 22 years in Kent County Circuit Court and private legal practice
- Briefly on the Michigan Court of Appeals’ Research Division and as judicial counsel to Judge Jane E. Markey
- Most recently, Chief Judge Pro Tem of the Kent County Circuit Court

- Awards: State Bar of Michigan Outstanding Young Lawyer Award (1995), Justice Marilyn J. Kelly Award for Outstanding Judicial Service (2016)
- held the role of Presiding Judge of the Family Division in Kent County
- Author of Anna’s Friends, a Benjamin Franklin Award-winning book about her late son’s life
