## Biography

### Professional career

- Selected by the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals to serve as a United States Bankruptcy Judge for the District of Oregon, effective March 5, 2026
- Prior to that, she worked in private practice as an associate attorney at Klehr, Harrison, Harvey, Branzburg LLP in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, from 2009 to 2015 Judge Evans began her legal career as a law clerk at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, serving the Honorable Robert N. Opel II from 2006 to 2009 and the late Honorable John J. Thomas from 2005 to 2006
- Kathryn F. Evans brings extensive experience in both federal bankruptcy practice and private law to her role as a bankruptcy judge
