### Professional career

- In 2023, Judge Mims established the Judge Kelly L. Mims Leadership Law Scholarship Endowment at the University of Mississippi School of Law, awarding $50,000 to help veterans and verified dependents of veterans earn law degrees
- Circuit Judge in the First Circuit Court District of Mississippi, elected in 2018 to serve Place 3, covering Alcorn, Itawamba, Lee, Monroe, Pontotoc, Prentiss, and Tishomingo counties
- Current position: Circuit Judge, First Circuit Court District, Mississippi
