### Professional career

- Kristie J. Swaim is an Associate Circuit Judge for Missouri’s 2nd Judicial Circuit, serving in Adair County since 2002, and has been re‐elected multiple times, most recently in 2014
- Associate Circuit Judge in the 2nd Judicial Circuit, which covers Adair, Knox, and Lewis counties

- She has also been recognized for her contributions to the judicial community, including her re‐election to the Missouri Association of Probate and Associate Circuit Judges (MAPACJ) board in 2022
- In 2006, Judge Swaim was awarded a threatening letter at her home, which led to federal charges against the sender.
- In this role, she presides over a variety of cases, including criminal, civil, and family matters, as part of the circuit court’s divisions Adair County Missouri Government.
