## Biography

### Professional career

- Judge of the Michigan First District Court of Appeals, appointed in 2022 and later elected to a full term through 2029, with prior service on the Wayne County 36th District Court and as General Counsel for the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office
- Before the Court of Appeals, Garrett was appointed in 2019 as a judge of the Wayne County 36th District Court by Governor Whitmer.
- General Counsel for the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office (2010–2019)
- Austin W. Garrett, also a judge on the 36th District Court

- University of Detroit Mercy School of Law — J.D. (2010)
- B.A. in Psychology from the University of Michigan (2007)

### Additional information

- Michigan First District Court of Appeals, a position she assumed on April 1, 2022 after being appointed by Governor Gretchen Whitmer to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Hon.
