### Professional career

- Larry B. Mims held the role of Judge of the State Court of Tift County, Georgia from August 2000 to December 2014, presiding over misdemeanor criminal cases, general and complex civil cases, and, by appointment, all matters involving temporary protective orders
- Before becoming a judge, from 1989 to 2000, he was Solicitor of the State Court of Tift County, prosecuting misdemeanor cases
- Lifelong Tifton resident who began his career with a strong interest in justice, equality, and community improvement

- From 1980 to 2000, Mims practiced law in Tifton
- He was admitted to the Georgia Superior Courts, Georgia Court of Appeals, Georgia Supreme Court, U.S. District Court (Middle & Southern Districts of Georgia) in 1980
