- In 2000, Navas de León was appointed Superior Judge of the Court of First Instance

### Additional information

- From 2009 to 2012, he was Director of the Senate’s Office of Technical Evaluation of Appointments and later held the role of an alternate member of the Board for the Special Independent Attorney General (FEI)
- In 2000, he ran for a third term but was defeated
- Navas de León was elected Senator for the Humacao District in 1992 and reelected in 1996.
- Navas de León was born September 13, 1942, in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
