### Professional career

- Puerto Rican jurist and the 17th Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico, in office since February 22, 2016
- 2016–present: Chief Justice
- 2014–2016: Associate Justice of the Puerto Rico Supreme Court
- 2002–2004: Law clerk to Chief Justice Federico Hernández-Denton

- JD, magna cum laude from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law, where she edited the University of Puerto Rico Law Review

- The third woman to preside over the court and the youngest to hold the position.
- Accountability, transparency, and judicial independence She chairs the Advisory Commission on Access to Justice and the Equality and Gender Committee of the Puerto Rico Judiciary, and has served on the Permanent Commission on Gender and Access to Justice of the Ibero-American Judicial Summit
