## Biography

### Professional career

- The current Assignment Judge for the Superior Court of New Jersey’s Monmouth Vicinage, appointed in June 2023 by Chief Justice Stuart Rabner to succeed the late Judge Lisa P. Thornton
- Chief Justice Rabner emphasized that the selection was not about replacing Thornton but about upholding the vicinage’s high standards

- Lemieux has held the role of Assignment Judge for the Monmouth Vicinage since June 28, 2023, following the death of Judge Lisa P. Thornton on May 26, 2023, at age 59 after 15 years on the bench.
- 2021: Named presiding judge of the criminal division (succeeded in 2023 by Judge Jill O’Malley)
- Lemieux has been recognized for his professional integrity and leadership in both prosecutorial and judicial roles
