### Professional career

- Her swearing‐in ceremony on September 18, 2025 in Dearborn was historic, marking her as the first Arab American and Muslim judge on the Michigan Court of Appeals
- Appointed by Governor Gretchen Whitmer on April 23, 2025 to the Michigan 1st District Court of Appeals, succeeding Judge Noah Hood, who was elevated to the Michigan Supreme Court
- Judge Mariam Saad Bazzi is a Michigan Court of Appeals judge appointed in 2025, making history as the first Arab American and Muslim judge on the court, with a background in criminal law, judicial leadership, and community service
