## Biography

### Professional career

- In 2005, he became a partner in Hamill Meagher Law, and after Hamill was elected President Judge in 2007, Meagher continued the firm independently.
- Meagher is a lifelong resident of Wayne County and began his legal career in 2001 working with Attorney Ray Hamill in Honesdale and as an Assistant District Attorney for Wayne County
- The second judge in Wayne County, a position created by the State Legislature to manage a growing caseload alongside President Judge Edwards
- Sworn into the Court of Common Pleas of the 22nd Judicial District on December 28, with the oath administered by President Judge Janine Edwards at the Wayne County Courthouse in Honesdale
- His role supports the efficient administration of justice in Wayne County, complementing the work of President Judge Janine Edwards

- He has also held the role of Solicitor for multiple townships and as Chairman of the Wayne County Arbitration Panel, where he presides over civil disputes up to $50,000 to assist the President Judge in managing cases efficiently
- As a judge on the Court of Common Pleas, Meagher has general jurisdiction over civil and criminal cases, including felonies and other matters beyond the scope of lower courts.
