### Professional career

- Appointed to the Marion County Court of Common Pleas, General Division, by Ohio Governor Mike DeWine on December 6, 2021, to fill the vacancy left by former Judge Jason Warner
- Judge Matthew Frericks combines extensive legal experience in prosecution, private practice, and municipal court administration with active community engagement
- Judge Frericks has presided over significant cases in Marion County
- Judge Matthew P. Frericks was born and raised in Marion, Ohio, and completed studies at River Valley High School

- Both his undergraduate degree and Juris Doctorate from the University of Dayton.
