- Appointed by the District Magistrate Commission of the 4th Judicial District (covering Ada, Boise, Elmore, and Valley counties) in July 2021 to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Hon.
- Magistrate judge for the Idaho 4th Judicial District, appointed in 2021, serving on the Ada County Magistrate Court and handling a range of criminal, civil, and domestic cases
- Lynnette McHenry.
- Also a frequent conference presenter for clerks and new judges, and acts as a local mentor judge
- He currently supervises a dedicated domestic violence docket, including intimate partner violence and stalking cases, and has also handled divorce, paternity, child custody, support, protection orders, evictions, small claims, traffic, and general criminal matters Ada County
- He serves as Chair of the Idaho Supreme Court’s Court Assistance Office Committee and is a member of the Criminal Rules Advisory Committee.
