### Professional career

- Sworn in June 3, 2019 by Dougherty County Probate Court Judge Nancy Stephenson
- After a unsuccessful 2008 run for the Georgia Court of Appeals, Meyer von Bremen returned to private legal practice and later was appointed a full-time Magistrate Court Judge for Dougherty County
- American attorney, former Georgia State Senator, and current Magistrate Court Judge for Dougherty County, Georgia

- From 1998 to 2009, he served in the Georgia State Senate representing the 12th Senatorial District, which included Baker, Calhoun, Clay, Dougherty, Randolph, Terrell, and Quitman counties, plus parts of Mitchell County
- Born August 19, 1957, Meyer von Bremen grew up in Albany, Georgia, and graduated from Mercer University in Macon in 1979 with a B.A. in Political Science.
- His duties include signing criminal search and arrest warrants, hearing civil cases up to a set monetary limit, bond hearings, and dispossession cases
- He succeeded retired Judge John F. Salter
- Meyer von Bremen is a partner at Hall Booth Smith, P.C. in Albany and has been active in the State Bar of Georgia and American Bar Association.
- He is also a certified mediator and arbitrator
