## Biography

### Professional career

- Senior Judge of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, appointed in 1998 by President Bill Clinton and assuming senior status on September 30, 2013
- Her legal career began in the General Counsel’s Office of the Federal Trade Commission (until 1981)
- Judge Combs Greene was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, graduating from Los Angeles High School in 1972
- She has also taught trial practice at Georgetown University Law Center, served on the Georgetown NITA faculty, and taught at the Harvard Law School Advocacy Program
- Returning to D.C., she became Senior Counsel in the Fraud Section of the DOJ’s Criminal Division, later serving as Director of Training for the U.S. Attorney’s Office
