### Professional career

- Since February 2024, Mangum has been a Partner at Smith Debnam Narron Drake Saintsing & Myers, LLP
- Mangum has taught over 100 hours of Continuing Legal Education courses in North Carolina and held the role of an adjunct professor at Meredith College since 2006
- In 2021, he was appointed Wake County Chief District Court Judge for Judicial District 10 by Chief Justice Paul Newby
- Before his judicial role, Mangum was Wake County District Attorney (April 2014–Dec 2014) and Assistant District Attorney for over eight years
- Ned W. Mangum is a former Wake County District Court Judge and current partner at Smith Debnam, a Raleigh, NC law firm, with a career spanning over two decades in public service and legal practice
