Scope: statewide

Electronic media and still-photography coverage is allowed in Florida public trial and appellate proceedings under Rule 2.450's equipment and conduct standards, always subject to the presiding judge's control of decorum, distractions, and fair administration.

Evidence excerpt: Subject at all times to the authority of the presiding judge to: (i) control the conduct of proceedings before the court; (ii) ensure decorum and prevent distractions; and (iii) ensure the fair administration of justice in the pending cause, electronic media and still photography coverage of public judicial proceedings in the appellate and trial courts of this state shall be allowed

### Professional career

- Before joining the judiciary, she held the role of Assistant Public Defender for the Law Office of the Public Defender for the 17th Judicial Circuit from 2007, having joined the office in 1989 and leaving in 2000 to work in private practice for seven years
- Olga M. Levine is a County Court Judge for Division 80/WB in the 17th Judicial Circuit of Florida

### Education

- B.A. in 1985 and a J.D. from the University of Florida Fredric G. Levin College of Law in 1988, plus a certificate in Latin American studies.

### Additional information

- Elected to the bench in 2012 to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Hon.
