- Appointed by: Governor Greg Abbott, effective September 1, 2024
- Led Texas in defense of 2014, 2017, and 2022 redistricting litigation, and in 2018 defended the state against challenges to its century-old method of electing Supreme Court and Court of Criminal Appeals judges.
- Successfully defended Texas in about ten federal lawsuits challenging election laws before the 2020 election.
- Built a new division, oversaw more than a dozen large trial teams, and secured over $250 million in settlements and recoveries.
