Scope: statewide

Electronic media and still-photography coverage is allowed in Florida public trial and appellate proceedings under Rule 2.450's equipment and conduct standards, always subject to the presiding judge's control of decorum, distractions, and fair administration.

Evidence excerpt: Subject at all times to the authority of the presiding judge to: (i) control the conduct of proceedings before the court; (ii) ensure decorum and prevent distractions; and (iii) ensure the fair administration of justice in the pending cause, electronic media and still photography coverage of public judicial proceedings in the appellate and trial courts of this state shall be allowed

- Rachael Spring Loukonen is a Circuit Judge for the 20th Judicial Circuit of Florida, serving in the Lee County General Civil, Guardianship, and Probate Division

- Appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis in January 2025 to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Hon.
- In 2012, she was Board Certified by the Florida Bar in Business Litigation and holds an AV Preeminent® rating from Martindale-Hubbell
- Shareholder at Grant Fridkin Pearson, P.A. (2003–2012) She represented businesses and individuals in complex contracts, commercial, property, construction, employment, and corporate disputes
- Loukonen has served on multiple Florida Bar committees, including the Business Litigation Certification Committee and the Standing Committee for the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure.
