## Biography

### Professional career

- Appointed to the Fulton County Juvenile Court in March 2015, Turner became Presiding Judge in 2017 and was named Chief Presiding Judge in February 2024, succeeding Judge Juliette W. Scales
- The lead judge for the School Pathways Project, a partnership with Fulton County and Atlanta Public Schools to reduce the school‐to‐prison pipeline
- The Chief Presiding Judge of Fulton County’s Juvenile Court in Georgia
- overseeing all juvenile cases and leading key court initiatives to support youth justice and community engagement
- Judge Turner’s work combines legal leadership, community engagement, and a focus on youth justice, aiming to “uplift and protect our youth” while safeguarding the community

### Additional information

- Before her judicial appointments, Turner was Assistant Dean of Pro Bono and Experiential Learning at Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School, where she organized the annual Youth and the Law Summit and a Re‐Entry Forum for previously incarcerated citizens.
- She also held the role of Director of the Domestic Violence Project for the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation
- Turner is also a National Council of Family and Juvenile Court Judges member, Georgia Commission on Dispute Resolution member, and board member of the Andrew and Walter Young YMCA
