## Biography

### Professional career

- Before becoming a judge, Collins was a partner at Collins & Hyman (2016–present) and earlier at Collins Waltrip (2014–2016).
- Judge of the 9th Judicial District Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court of Virginia, elected by the Virginia General Assembly on April 16, 2023
- Began his legal career as an assistant Commonwealth’s attorney for the Henrico County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office (until 2009), then joined Bartlett & Spirn in private practice
