## Biography

### Professional career

- Private Practice: Left the public defender office in 2001, worked at Clark & Towne, P.C., and in 2004 founded The Ryczek Firm, P.C. in Lawrenceville, GA
- Began as a public defender in Rockdale County in 1999
- Richard Ryczek, Jr. is an experienced attorney and judge, currently serving as an Associate Judge of the City of Suwanee Municipal Court in Georgia

- in Psychology — University of Georgia — B.A. (1994)

### Additional information

- Ryczek was appointed to the Suwanee municipal court in April 2016 after being unanimously recommended by the city council following team interviews
- DUI Lawyer of the Year (2009)
- Frequent lecturer and guest instructor for police academies, and serves as trial team coach for the Emory University School of Law mock trial team
- He has also been recognized by and Super Lawyer as one of the top 40 lawyers in Georgia under age 40
