### Professional career

- Former Superior Court Judge Robert Adams passed away on April 15, 2025, at age 84
- Distinguished Georgia Superior Court judge, serving in Whitfield and Murray counties for over a decade before retiring in 2012
- Appointed by then-Governor Roy Barnes as a Superior Court judge in 2000, later elected to the position in 2000, 2004, and 2008
- Before his judicial career, Adams was elected district attorney for the Conasauga Circuit in 1969, then practiced law in Dalton, GA, and held the role of Whitfield County Attorney and Chairman of the Whitfield County Board of Elections
- Began his legal career in private practice with his father, Isaac Adams, and later joined notable law firms in the region
- His areas of practice included criminal defense, personal injury litigation, housing law, labor and employment law, and more

- Served 12 years on the bench, covering Whitfield and Murray counties, and retired on January 31, 2012.
- Born in Dalton, Georgia, in 1940, Adams completed studies at Dalton High School in 1959, Emory University in 1963, and Emory University School of Law in 1965.
