### Professional career

- Robert J. Caldwell held the role of a magistrate judge for Kootenai County in Idaho, part of the 1st Judicial District, which includes Benewah, Bonner, Boundary, Kootenai, and Shoshone Counties

### Education

- Bachelor’s degree from Washington State University and a J.D. from the University of Idaho College of Law in 1992.

- He spent 17 years chambered at the court facilities in Coeur d’Alene, the city where he was raised, and was scheduled to retire at the end of his term in January 2027 Coeur d'.
