## Biography

### Professional career

- First appointed to the District Court by former Alabama Governor Robert Bentley in 2011 to fill a vacancy left by Circuit Judge Greg Nicholas
- Prior to his district judgeship, Turner served six years as municipal judge for the City of Cullman and was an administrative law judge appointed in 2004 by former Governor Bob Riley
- His role ensures the administration of justice for both criminal and civil matters within the county

- He subsequently won election to the office in 2012 and has sought re-election to continue serving in the Place 2 seat
