Scope: statewide

Electronic media and still-photography coverage is allowed in Florida public trial and appellate proceedings under Rule 2.450's equipment and conduct standards, always subject to the presiding judge's control of decorum, distractions, and fair administration.

Evidence excerpt: Subject at all times to the authority of the presiding judge to: (i) control the conduct of proceedings before the court; (ii) ensure decorum and prevent distractions; and (iii) ensure the fair administration of justice in the pending cause, electronic media and still photography coverage of public judicial proceedings in the appellate and trial courts of this state shall be allowed

## Biography

### Professional career

- Began her legal career as an Assistant State Attorney in Miami-Dade County, later serving in the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit
- She then joined the Florida Attorney General’s Office, working in the Economic Crime Unit and eventually becoming South Florida Bureau Chief

### Education

- B.S. in International Relations and Spanish from Tufts University in 1998 and a J.D. from the University of Florida, Fredric G. Levin College of Law in 2002.

### Additional information

- Elected to the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit in 2014 and has served in multiple divisions, including Criminal, Family, Civil, and currently Probate/Guardianship.
- Her contributions have been recognized with numerous awards, including the 2025 Distinguished Judicial Service Award from the Florida Supreme Court, multiple Jurist of the Year awards, and honors from FAWL and local bar associations.
- She presided over more than 100 jury trials in the Criminal Division and briefly held the role of an associate judge at the Fourth District Court of Appeal in 2020.
- Before her election, she briefly practiced complex commercial litigation in private practice
- Judge Feuer has been deeply involved in community service and professional organizations.
- Feuer grew up in Miami-Dade, the daughter of a U.S. Army father and a schoolteacher mother.
- She chaired the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Committee for a decade, founded the Reading and Robes program for elementary schools, and helped implement Ethical Governance Day programs in local high schools.
- She has also held the role of a judicial liaison for the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (FAWL), co-founded the Women’s Foundation of Palm Beach County, and mentored law students through various programs
