### Professional career

- Flanigan has held the role of Associate Magistrate Court Judge for Henry County since July 2019
- Since 2016, Flanigan has been an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Georgia School of Law, teaching State and Local Government and covering topics such as government structure, incorporation, zoning, open records, and liability issues
- Chief Municipal Court Judge, City of Stockbridge (2013–2014) — held the role of the first African American chief municipal court judge in the city, presiding over misdemeanor and ordinance violation cases
- Santana T. Flanigan is an Associate Magistrate Court Judge for Henry County, Georgia, and General Counsel for Rockdale County Public Schools, with a background in municipal court leadership and public sector legal services

- He is also a 2019 graduate of Leadership Rockdale and part of Leadership Georgia’s Class of 2020
- Flanigan has been named a “Top Attorney” by Southern Journal Magazine (2014), a 2017 “On the Rise” attorney by The Daily Report, and included in the National Black Lawyers “Top 100 Black Lawyers” list (2019).
- In this role, he is responsible for determining probable cause for warrant applications, issuing search and arrest warrants, coordinating with law enforcement, and explaining legal rights to individuals arrested.
