### Professional career

- Before joining the Court of Appeals, he held the role of a Pima County Superior Court judge from 2013 to 2017, appointed by Governor Jan Brewer.
- His legal career began in private practice in Tucson, where he was a senior litigation partner at Rusing Lopez & Lizardi, PLLC
