Scope: statewide

Electronic media and still-photography coverage is allowed in Florida public trial and appellate proceedings under Rule 2.450's equipment and conduct standards, always subject to the presiding judge's control of decorum, distractions, and fair administration.

Evidence excerpt: Subject at all times to the authority of the presiding judge to: (i) control the conduct of proceedings before the court; (ii) ensure decorum and prevent distractions; and (iii) ensure the fair administration of justice in the pending cause, electronic media and still photography coverage of public judicial proceedings in the appellate and trial courts of this state shall be allowed

## Biography

### Professional career

- The elected County Court Judge for Gilchrist County, Florida, serving since 2013 and making history as the first female judge in the county’s history
- Before her judicial election, Lancaster was a judicial hearing officer for the 8th Judicial Circuit (1998–2012), hearing child support cases and recommending orders to circuit judges.
- Position: County Court Judge, Gilchrist County, 8th Judicial Circuit, Florida
- She also worked as an attorney for the Gilchrist and Levy County School Boards, handled general civic law matters in private practice, and held the role of a juvenile probation officer and child protective services counselor

- Lancaster has served on the Board of Directors of the Conference of County Court Judges, the Eighth Judicial Circuit Bar Association, and the Florida School Board Attorneys Association (past president).
- She has been active in numerous civic organizations, including the Gilchrist Woman’s Club and Chamber of Commerce, and has received the J. Min Ayers Lifetime Achievement Award from the Gilchrist County Chamber of Commerce
