## Biography

### Professional career

- Began as a social worker for battered women, teen parents, and seniors, later becoming a Victim Advocate and Program Officer for Cuyahoga County Justice Affairs

### Education

- Cleveland–Marshall College of Law — J.D. (2003)
- Educated in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District and graduating from John Adams High School, McCall earned her B.A. from Hiram College in 1986.

### Additional information

- Legal practice — began in 2005
- Initially considering a nursing career, she was inspired to pursue law after watching the 1988 film The Accused.
- Judge McCall presides over cases in the Cleveland Municipal Court’s General Division, which handles criminal, civil, and traffic matters for Cleveland and Bratenahl.
- Outside the courtroom, Judge McCall enjoys rollerblading, bicycling, and attending movies, and is a mother to her teenage son
- She serves on boards including the Black Women’s Political Action Committee, Cuyahoga Democratic Women’s Caucus, and Norman S. Minor Bar Association, and has been active with Hiram College’s Alumni Board and the Youth Opportunities Unlimited Foundation
