## Biography

### Professional career

- Before becoming a judge, Stiriz held the role of an assistant prosecutor in Fulton County’s Prosecutor’s Office from 2017 until her appointment to the bench in January 2026.
- Her appointment marks the first new probate and juvenile judge in Fulton County in four decades, filling the vacancy left by Judge Michael J. Bumb, who took office in 1985 and retired in 2025 after the longest active judicial tenure in Ohio at the time.
- Judge Stacey S. Stiriz is the first probate and juvenile judge in Fulton County, Ohio, in 40 years, appointed by Governor Mike DeWine to succeed the long‐serving Judge Michael J. Bumb
