- 2000–2001: Law Clerk, Iowa Court of Appeals
- Judge Ritchie serves in Department 5A of the Iowa 5th Judicial District Court, which covers Adair, Adams, Clarke, Dallas, Decatur, Guthrie, Jasper, Lucas, Madison, Marion, Polk, Ringgold, Taylor, Union, Warren, and Wayne counties
