- He was recognized for his commitment to justice, integrity, and public service, and was honored by the City of Windcrest for his 44+ years of municipal judicial service

### Education

- Takas earned his B.A. in Government from St. Mary’s University (1965) and his J.D. from St. Mary’s University School of Law (1968), where he was admitted to the Texas Bar that same year.

- Distinguished Texas municipal judge and legal professional whose career spanned over four decades in public service, culminating in his passing in April 2025.
- He passed away April 24, 2025 at age 82, survived by his wife of 59 years, Majie, and their children and grandchildren.
