- B.A. in History, University of Georgia J.D. from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law (requirements completed at Emory University School of Law) (Education).

### Additional information

- One of the original and longest‐serving judges of the Georgia Office of State Administrative Hearings (OSAH), appointed in 1995
- Judge Teate presides over contested administrative cases referred by various Georgia state agencies.
- He has taught administrative law in the Master of Public Administration program at Kennesaw State University and in Emory University’s Paralegal Certificate Program.
- He emphasizes that parties — whether self‐represented or counselled — should research and understand the relevant regulations before hearings, and he advises lawyers to focus on the law and the rules in dispute
- He also speaks at professional conferences, such as the NAHO 36th Annual Professional Development Conference
