## Biography

### Professional career

- Community initiatives: Developed the district’s Latinx Task Force and served on the Colorado Access to Justice Commission since 2020
- The first female Chief Judge of Colorado’s 8th Judicial District (Larimer and Jackson Counties) and has been on the bench since January 2017
- The first Iranian American woman to serve on the Colorado Supreme Court, appointed in February 2026 to fill the vacancy left by Justice Melissa Hart
