### Professional career

- Tadia D. Whitner is a judge on Division 7 of the Gwinnett County Superior Court in Georgia, appointed in 2019 as the first African‐American judge on the county’s bench
- Judge, Gwinnett County Juvenile Court (2016–2019)
- Managing Partner, Porter & Whitner Law Group (2011–2016)
- Associate Judge, Snellville Municipal Court
- After law school, she spent 10 years as an attorney for the U.S. Air Force and Air National Guard, and also worked for the U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Justice, the Florida Office of the Attorney General, the Savannah Public Defender, and as a staff attorney for Chatham County Juvenile Court
