### Professional career

- Elected by the Virginia General Assembly in 2021 and officially commissioned on May 6, 2022, with her oath administered by Judge Vernida R. Chaney of the Virginia Court of Appeals
- Judge of Virginia’s 19th Judicial Circuit Court in Fairfax County, elected in 2021, and the first woman of color to serve on the Fairfax County Circuit Court bench
- Practiced law for 18 years in private practice, co‐founding Peterson Saylor, PLC in 2010
- Served five years as a substitute judge in the General District Court and Juvenile & Domestic Relations District Court
- Her election marked a historic milestone as the first woman of color to serve as a Fairfax County Circuit Court Judge
